And All Were Amazed!

In chapter 5 of Mark’s gospel, Jesus drives out Legion, representing many demons into the large herd of swine. The man now is free of the demonic spirit and is instructed by Jesus to “go home to your family and announce to them all that the Lord in his pity has done for you” (V.19). We recently had a series of town halls at our parish. We are gathering information about how best to realign our strengths and assets. One parishioner so eloquently stated that, God gave us his best, His Son, so let us give our best to Him each day.

That prompted me to say, let us share our testimony as witnesses to God’s love after mass. We can use Fr. Tony’s recent ‘One body, Many witnesses‘ homily as a springboard. “We all are called to share that testimony. Bear witness to what God has done for you. And so, I would challenge you, as members of the body of Christ, each one—what is your testimony?”
