Be of Good Courage

Take heart, stand up, and be strong. Our attitude should not be frightened and disheartened in conditions that appear uncertain—pandemics, economic crises, religious conflict and war, hunger, and so on. Instead of feeding ourselves with information from the news or social media, let us fill ourselves up with the Word of God. God commands us to be of good courage.

We have every reason to be brave and strong and to never give up. Why? Because God strengthens those who trust and hope in Him. Our Lord preserves the faithful. We cannot expect the grace of God to work upon us if we will just be indolent and stay in despondency. As believers of God, we are not exempt from the challenges of life. It’s natural to feel discouraged at times, but the goal isn’t to remain in that state and accomplish nothing. Expect God to move in our midst with confidence. In our shattered world, the Kingdom of God needs people who will reflect His light.
