Be the “Change” That the World Needs

“He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you, But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?”
—Micah 6:8
Let us try to close our eyes and remember when we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Receiving Jesus changed our lives forever. However, a redeemed life does not imply that all other external circumstances in our lives have changed. Family issues, financial concerns, economic crises, and war are all still present. But the big difference is that our lives are full of grace, purpose, and hope because Jesus Christ is present with and in us. Our focus should be on the miracle, gift, and great commission God has given us, not on the external circumstances.
When we accepted Jesus as our Savior and Lord, our world most likely did not turn upside down. However, we can be the “change” that the world needs. God revealed Himself to us in order for others to know and accept Him in their lives. Let our light shine before others, that they may see our good deeds and glorify our Father in heaven (Matthew 5:16).
What change can you make today?
