Moses is giving us the law in Deuteronomy 30. He says, “Today, I have set before you life and prosperity, death, and doom. If you obey the commandments, statutes, and decrees, you will live and grow numerous and the Lord, your God, will bless you in the land you are entering to occupy.”

Life is a series of choices each day. Choices that grow us closer or more distant from Jesus. Choose wisely! Some days are better than others, yet all days are good. Moses is telling us that God will bless us every time we choose life and by choosing to do His will. And the Apostle Paul reminds us that God’s blessings are the fruits of the Spirit— peace, love, joy, patience, kindness, gentleness and faithfulness.
