Christian Wives and Husbands

How blessed we were last week at our son’s wedding feast! God’s mighty hand orchestrated a magnificent gathering of LOVE.

Clearly the focus was on the covenant that was witnessed to follow the way of love. God gives very clear guidance for husbands to love your wives as Christ loved the church. Wives should be submissive to their husbands as if to the Lord. Both are charged to honor and respect one another as the two shall be made into one.

As we seek to be imitators of God as his dear children, couples should find it natural and joyful to offer themselves to each other as their gift of pleasing God. Seek to glorify God as you live as children of light. Light produces every kind of goodness and justice and truth (v. 9). Sing praise to the Lord with all your hearts. Give thanks to God the Father always and for everything in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ (v. 9-20).
