“Commit everything you do to the LORD. Trust him, and he will help you.” —Psalm 37:5 NLT
Read Psalm 37
What are the first three things you do after waking up?
The psalmist says, “Commit everything you do to the LORD.” This means to cast all our cares and business, all our desires, all our needs and necessities, grand or small, to God by fervent prayer, trusting His plans, and expecting that He will act according to His good will. When we cast everything to Him, we are acknowledging His power and sovereignty. We are stepping down and allowing Him to lead the way, we are looking to Him for support and guidance. In the MSG version, it says, “Open up before God, keep nothing back; he’ll do whatever needs to be done…”
God wants to get involved in everything we do. He loves to be in partnership with us. What are the burdens you are carrying? What are the things you worry about? God cares. Cast everything to Him and trust Him. The Bible says, “He’ll validate your life in the clear light of day and stamp you with approval at high noon (v.6).”
Trust God and be expectant!
