Each Little Child Is a Masterpiece

Indeed, God loves the children. As people were bringing children to Jesus so that he might touch them, the disciples rebuked them. Jesus became indignant and said, “Let the children come to me; do not prevent them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Amen, I say to you, whoever does not accept the Kingdom of God like a child will not enter it. Then he embraced the children and blessed them, placing His hands on them (Mark 10:14-16).”

To Jesus, each little child is a masterpiece of God’s loving creation. Jesus knew each child even before conception; each one a work of art made in the image of our heavenly Father. These verses remind us how important it is for all of us to come to Jesus. As children are naturally curious, visual, and tactile learners encourage them to run into the arms of Jesus as His presence is peace for you and me. And let us remember, we adults are “big children” and what a blessing to rediscover the innocence and freedom that is our ticket to the Kingdom of God.
