Enjoying God’s Presence

Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him. - Psalm 37:7
Are you taking each time to enjoy the presence of God? Or do you only remember doing it or giving time to do it every Sunday?
A picture of a person’s normal day might be waking up in the morning, maybe thanking God for a bit, then rush to work or attend to the needs of the family. Work or other demands of this world can distract us, hence having a tendency to have lesser chance remembering God and His presence. We are too busy to be still and wait patiently for Him. We have to remember that we are not slaves anymore, even in our work.
It takes discipline to be still before the Lord and to take the time to wait patiently for Him. I encourage you to start your day spending 15-30 minutes with the Lord and enjoy His presence. Remember, but seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you (Matthew 6:33).
Lord, help me change and put you first before anything.
