Experiencing His Love!

At a recent reconciliation retreat at Terra Sancta (Holy Ground), we were blessed to bear witness to the love of Jesus in our lives. One of the participants candidly shared her sobriety journey and recent residential treatment experience. Those sitting around the table offered prayers of love with continued healing through the great physician, Jesus Christ. It was a powerful testimony to the healing power of love as God is love.

During one of our breaks, I was sitting near a window gathering some of the brilliant sunshine we are blessed with in western South Dakota. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, this sister in Christ approached me and ask if I would go outside and pray the Stations of the Cross with her. Indeed, this reminded me of what St. Theresa once said, “There are no great things, only small things done with great love. Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies.”

After each station, we prayed Come Holy Spirit….Send forth your Spirit…and as we prayed this powerful pray, the “wind” would gently pick up reminding us that God is love!
