Get Up and Flee - Daily Devotion

Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.  John 3:19 NIV

Read John 3:16-21

Are you a believer in Jesus as your savior and Lord, or are you a non-believer who is condemned? According to the Bible, individuals who believe do not face judgment, but rather have risen from the dead and entered the realm of life. The one who does not believe, on the other hand, is condemned and will be judged.

God’s salvation is a free gift. It does, however, depend on our relationship with Jesus, whether or not we have faith in him. In the end, we can’t change the outcome of our decision. People sometimes reject God’s truth for a simple reason: they don’t want to give up their way of life because they love it. There will always be temptation. It says in 1 Peter 5:8 ERV, “Control yourselves and be careful! The devil is your enemy, and he goes around like a roaring lion looking for someone to attack and eat.” Its aim is to kill, steal, and destroy. If you find yourself flirting with sin and evil, follow Joseph’s advice and get up and flee! Don’t allow the temptation to grow. No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it (1 Corinthians 10:13).

Keep your eyes on the prize, Jesus.
