The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. - Hebrews 1:3 NLT
Read Hebrews 1:1-4
According to Merriam-Webster dictionary, glory means magnificence or great beauty. Light is also associated with glory. Our scripture described Jesus as the glorious light of God. Jesus is the precise representation of God’s true nature. This means that in terms of substance, qualities, and capacities, the Son is similar to God.
Jesus knows who he is from the beginning. Yet he never questioned his Father about his humble kind of living he grew up with. Definitely, he can always ask God to give him more than enough, for a more comfortable type of living, and not work as a carpenter. He can command legions of angels to destroy the Pharisees in just a snap. But he didn’t. Jesus is the exact representation of God’s nature—loving, merciful, faithful, and full of grace. May we thirst for Jesus more and more each day and give him all the glory!
Jesus, thank you, and I love you.
