God Is Also In Our Future

Read Psalm 138

We strengthen our trust in God as we comprehend His greatness, compassion, and faithfulness. David made the confident assurance that God will complete what concerns him since he knew God. He knew God had a purpose for him, and God, who is full of power and goodness, would accomplish it.

Perhaps if we take the time to read God’s Word and dwell on each word and promise written there, we will have the confidence to surrender our will to His. The Bible reveals who God is and what His true nature is. Because His lovingkindness remains eternally, every man on whom His molding Spirit has begun to work, or His grace in any form has bestowed its gifts, can be certain that these will not be exhausted or changed. Philippians 1:6 says, “And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”

Like Paul, may God’s Word, the truth, persuade us that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:38-39). God is also in our future. His love endures forever, and He will never abandon us.
