God is the Vine

By this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit and become my disciples. - John 15:8
Recently, I gave a presentation on the medicinal plants of the southwest. The Juniper has the amazing ability to shut off water to certain “branches” to preserve the health and vitality of the tree. Similarly, Jesus reminds us that His Father is the vine grower, and He takes away every branch that does not bear fruit, and everyone that does he prunes so that it bears more fruit.
It is customary to prune our trees and shrubs to keep them producing fruit and preserving their vitality. When we allow ourselves to be “pruned” by the power of the Holy Spirit, we align ourselves with God’s will and we become more fruitful in our walk with Jesus. Let’s go back to “Perspective”: Admit our sins, Believe God will forgive and Surrender and allow God to heal our mind, body, and spirit. We find peace in His presence as He is our guiding light.
We are the branches.
