God Knows Where We Should Go

He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters. Psalm 23:2
Read Psalm 23
Plants, greenery, and trees abound in the area where we held our four-day retreat. It was formerly a barren piece of land, but its owner, Ms. Prescilla, saw it as a place of life and healing. She began to grow various trees, herbs, vegetables, and flowering plants. Because of the area’s abundance, it became a haven for many birds and small animals. The current appearance of the area differs significantly from what it was previously.
When we were meditating on the grass, the Holy Spirit reminded me of Psalm 23:2. “He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters.” It’s reassuring to know that there’s a God who will never quit directing His children. There will always be various pathways in front of us, and we must always choose which path to pursue. Some paths lead to green pastures, and some to pits. As our good shepherd, God knows where we should go. We, the sheep, are not always aware of what we need or what is best for us. That is why we seek the shepherd’s guidance and direction. We have the option of being stubborn and deciding what is best for us, or we can surrender and let our loving, kind, and trustworthy Father guide us.
The greatness of God is all around us.
