Once I was young, and now I am old. Yet I have never seen the godly abandoned or their children begging for bread. - Psalm 37:25 NLT
Read Psalm 37
Have you ever experienced feeling abandoned? Have you ever thought God has abandoned you or your nation during this pandemic?
Abandonment is one of our fears. We do not want to be discarded. We do not want to be left behind. Deep in our hearts, we have a sense of significance and the need to be needed.
If you feel like God is too far or has been missing-in-action lately, you can declare what the psalmist says, “Once I was young, and now I am old. Yet I have never seen the godly abandoned or their children begging for bread.”
There may be temporary setbacks or seasons when we feel like we are experiencing long-suffering. We can endure and persevere not because we can do it, but because we can hold on to the character of God—generous in mercy and loyal in love. He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber (Psalm 121:3.) Continue to have faith that there will be breakthroughs!
Focus on who God is.
