Happy Birthday, Daughter!
Today's Daily Devotion - May 26, 2021
By Dr. George J. Ceremuga
Then Boaz said, “The Lord bless you, my daughter.” - Ruth 3:10
This act of kindness is greater than the kindness you showed to Naomi in the beginning. You didn’t look for a young man to marry, either rich or poor. Now, my daughter, don’t be afraid. I will do everything you ask, because all the people in our town know you are a good woman (V.10-12). Ruth, a Moabite, became the wife of Boaz and the mother of Obed, the father of Jesse, the father of David. Indeed, God’s plan.
Today is our oldest daughter’s birthday. As I write this devotion, I am beaming with pride on her inner and outer beauty. Let there be no doubt that she embodies Love in her personal as well as professional life. She is responsible, organized, and ambitious. Through all of life’s challenges, she has remained faithful to our God’s direction, wisdom, and will. I am blessed to share her journey and lend a hand of love and support.
“A daughter is God’s way of saying “thought you could use a lifelong friend.”
