Happy St. Patrick’ Day!

If you want to give God a good laugh, tell Him your plans. In James chapter 4:13-15: “Beloved: Come now, you who say, today or tomorrow we shall go into such and such a town, spend a year there doing business, and make a profit-you have no idea what your life will be like tomorrow. Instead, you should say, If the Lord wills it, we shall live to do this or that.” James encourages us to seek the will of the Lord in all things-big and small.

I have mentioned before that our Lord is the greatest executive secretary. He will organize your day and allow you to accomplish more by doing less. He has a wonderful way to bend time on your behalf and bring resolution to problems that seem burdensome. Recently, I spent some time with a friend who embodies James’s message and Proverbs 16:9: A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps. This friend has amazing trust in the Lord and reminds me to “seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take (Proverbs 3:6).”
