Have Big Dreams And Grow Into Them…

St. Francis of Assisi said, “Start by doing what is necessary; then do what’s possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible.” Mother Theresa said, “There are no big things, just small things, done with great love.” Gandhi said, “Be the change that you want to see in the world.” All three of these people were humble servants of humanity. The movements that they started began by treating each person with love, dignity and compassion.

This clearly is the message Jesus is teaching His disciples with the good Samaritan parable. The Samaritan is the one who loves his neighbor and takes care of him. As missionary disciples, we are called to extend ourselves to the many people in the world today who are hurting and in need of help. Jesus, please remind us daily that your holy will for us is “love and mercy” itself.
