He is Not Yet Done

And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

Philippians 1:6

Read Philippians 1:3-11

The epistle of Philippians is a letter Paul wrote while He is in chains to encourage the Christians at Philippi to live joyfully in every circumstance. It is possible to live joyfully, no matter how overwhelming our situation may seem because of the cross and Jesus’ victory over death. What Jesus did only prove that nothing in the Lord is powerful enough to stamp out a justification for our joy.

Knowing that everything is from God and of God, we can always have confidence and assurance in whatever life will bring us. Even our transformation as a believer is not out of our own capability. God is the one who is continuously and faithfully transforming us to be like Jesus, changing our hearts to be of the same heartbeat as His. When our genuine spiritual development is focused on what God has accomplished, is doing, and is going to continue doing, we can have the assurance that He will be with us until Jesus returns.

There may be times when we feel like we are not growing in our faith or we feel like we are still slaves of our sins. Never give up because God Himself never thought of giving up on you. Whatever He started in you; He will bring it to completion. For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with him (1 Thessalonians 5).

Carry on, God will never leave your side.
