He Will Baptize You With The Holy Spirit

Imagine yourself being baptized with Jesus and witnessing the Holy Spirit descending upon him in bodily form like a dove. And then, God’s blessing, “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased” (Luke 3:22). On that day, Jesus received the Spirit in a new way- a gift from God that would empower him and set him on the path of ministry, service, and ultimately death and resurrection. Let us rejoice in that we share this same path with Jesus Christ.

Just as God delighted in his Son’s obedience, humility, and trust in him, he delights in us as we rejoice in the gift of the Holy Spirit- the gift of God’s love. Through our baptism, we inherited an unbreakable relationship with Jesus Christ. God desires to fill you with his Spirit moment by moment, nurturing that divine exchange-talking to Jesus my guiding light. Hear the promises of our wonderful God- you are my beloved child. I love you. I am pleased to have you in my family. Let us model our Savior and go about doing good and healing all for God is with us.
