His Love is Made Complete In Us

Read 1 John 4:7-21

We are emotional beings that yearn for someone or something to fill our emotional tank. Would you believe me if I tell you that neither your partner nor your spouse can refill and satisfy your emotional tank?

One of the most important commandments given by Jesus is to love our neighbor as ourselves. John encouraged us to love one another since love is a gift from God. Because it is impossible for us to love others based on our own abilities, John also reminded us of the source of love. God is love, and He is the source of love. We will never understand true love unless we comprehend the depth, breadth, and height of God’s love. He demonstrated His love not just with words and feelings, but also with deeds. The Bible has already given us a simple yet clear definition of God’s love: God showed his love among us by sending his one and only Son into the world so we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us (1 John 4:7-12).

When we are overflowing with God’s love, we can share that love with others.
