How to be A Good Steward
Today's Daily Devotion - November 20, 2021
By Khai Samante
Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. — 2 Corinthians 1:21, 22 NIV
Daily devotional bible reading: 2 Corinthians 1:18-22
The word Amen means “so be it,” and Paul uses it to remind us of God’s promises and anointing, which are sealed with an Amen. He proclaimed a Jesus who is entirely trustworthy and deserving of our faith. To believe that God has anointed only pastors, missionaries, and prophets is a misconception. The Holy Spirit anoints all believers in Christ, including you. It gives us the tools we need to serve God and live good lives.
If you believe your knowledge of God’s Word is inadequate for God to use you, or that your abilities are insufficient to be God’s servant, or that you are unworthy to be an ambassador for Christ, please take some time to quiet yourself and consider how you can be a good steward of your gifts to serve our Lord. “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field (Matthew 9:37-38).” We give God glory, honor, and praise whenever we employ our spiritual anointing.
Lord, help me have a heart that glorifies your name through serving.
