I Rebuke Any Illness...

January 31, 2022 Daily Devotion
By Dr. George J. Ceremuga

And standing over her, He rebuked the fever, and it left her. - Luke 4:39

Recently I spent a few weeks with my mother over the Christmas and New Year holidays. It was a festive time with daily mass and visiting family and friends. We particularly enjoy traveling to visit lifelong friends. These brothers and sisters in Christ are always a joy to be around and we enjoy music, food, and in season, canning from the “fruits” of our gardens. A few days later, I received a text from one of the family members that a few present were positive for COVID.

By then mom had some “drainage” and a cough and said, “I rebuke any illness, and I am not going to get COVID.” Mom knows that Jesus has given us the power, authority, mandate, and commission to heal one another. By the grace of God, mom’s symptoms abated within a week or so by enhancing her God-given immune system with the Creator model of healthcare and vitamin C, D, quercetin, and zinc. She also elected to take ivermectin. One of my sisters stayed with Mom throughout this period providing tender loving care. Mom was responsible for her health and choices. She knows that all life and healing come from our powerful God. Indeed, prayer is the best medicine (and I was praying overtime) and God is the great physician.

Thank you, Jesus, for healing!
