It Is God’s Pleasure to Give Us His Kingdom

Daily devotional bible reading: Luke 12:22-34

I grew up fearful that if I didn’t do good deeds, God would not bless me or answer all of my prayers. The truth of God’s Word transformed my perspective and helped me to comprehend who God is better. We live in dread caused by the lies of the enemy instead of behaving in reverent fear of God. We are afraid of death, persecution, public humiliation, and not being able to meet our physical needs.

Jesus said in Luke 12:32, “Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” Jesus wants us to understand God’s love. He is attempting to dispel our anxiety because of the wrong mindset that God does not desire to be a good Father to His children. We are prone to suppose that God does not want to bless us, to be kind, and to be loving to us. To overcome the enemy’s deception, we should anchor our minds and hearts in the Word of God through daily prayer and meditation.

It is God’s pleasure to give us His Kingdom. He wants us to have a taste of heaven on earth. Fear not, litttle flock, for it is His good pleasure to bless us and shower us with His love. Don’t be afraid to come to God today! Let us ask God to have faith to believe that God enjoys doing good for us.
