It Is Never Too Late

Today's Daily Devotion - June 16, 2022

“Is it not lawful for me to do what I wish with my own things?”  –  Matthew 20:15

Jesus related a parable in Matthew 20 to show us that it is His prerogative to choose to save people who come to Him late in life. The laborers who were employed around 5 p.m. arrived and were each given a denarius. In the eleventh hour, shortly before he died, the thief on the cross was saved. It’s possible that your heart will harden. But how does Jesus respond? He believes that it is never too late to begin and that it is never too soon to stop.

I am in faith that one day, my father will know and accept Jesus as His Lord and Saviour. I don’t know when that will be. My own journey of faith gives me the confidence and hope for God’s plans for my dad and even other family members and friends who do not know God yet. I believe God who transformed me, a messy and broken person, is the same God who will do it for them.

Who are you praying for to receive the gospel message of salvation? Do not cease in praying. Trust because God can and He will. He desires to see us all with Him in heaven.

Have faith. God's timeline is different than ours.
