It’s Time for Sanctification!

Hezekiah took immediate and swift action to restore the kingdom of Judah into God’s favor. The Levites arose and sanctified themselves and the Lord’s house. They completed the consecration of the Lord’s house on the 16th day of the first month. King Hezekiah then offered the holocaust and sin offering for all of Israel. As the holocaust was completed the king and attendees sang praises till their joy was full and prostrated themselves.

Ironically enough, in verse 34, “The Levites were more willing than the priests to sanctify themselves.” Do not wait on the religious leaders to lead us into battle against evil. Collectively, all believers in Jesus Christ are included in the tribe of Judah as “witnesses” in the book of Revelation. Let us claim the warrior spirit of the prophet Elijah and claim victory in the name of Jesus Christ. Let’s see what the hand of God produces before tomorrow morning.
