Jesus Is at the Door

Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me. - Revelation 3:20
Read Revelation 3:14-22
What would you do when Jesus knocks on your front door?
When a master knocks on the door, he wants his servants to be aware and respond quickly by opening the door and inviting him in. Jesus is our master and we are his servants. But Jesus is a kind of master who will not force himself inside the house. Instead, Jesus waits patiently until we let him in.
Jesus is on the lookout for anyone who will invite him in. He promised that whoever heard His voice and opened the door would have fellowship with Him. Unlike other masters, Jesus wants us to eat with him. This pictures a very close and personal fellowship with him.
Even though how many times we snob him, reject him, and not invite him in our lives, do you know Jesus is still patiently waiting for us to receive his invitation? An invitation to a place called heaven.
Jesus wants us to be with him.
