Great crowds came to him, bringing the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute and many others, and laid them at his feet; and he healed them. - Matthew 15:30 NIV
Jesus knows he had work to do among the multitudes. Lame, blind, crippled, mute, and other individuals in need were laid at Jesus’ feet, and he healed them. Although the scripture does not specify that they had faith in Jesus, it is evident that they desperately needed help—and they came to Jesus to seek it.
Witnessing the healing miracle of Jesus astounded the people. This can offer a platform for Jesus to gain reputation and fame. But Jesus remained focused on his mission: to reconcile them to God. Jesus always drew attention to God the Father, and in result, they learned to praise God.
Jesus has the power to cure us not only from bodily ailments, but also from the brokenness of our hearts and minds. Jesus has the power to heal our country as well. Let us take a few minutes to pray to Jesus to heal us and our land. Because we have Jesus with us, there is hope.
Jesus, heal our land.
