Less Is More…

Last month the gospel of Luke and a “Jesus Calling” devotion were completely aligned. Jesus is visiting Mary and Martha and gently reminds Martha that time with Jesus should be our priority. Likewise, in the “Jesus Calling,” Sarah Young reminds us to come away with Jesus for a while. The world, with its s nonstop demands, does not place a priority on a relationship with Jesus Christ. Even those who know Jesus as our “Savior” tend to march to the tempo of the world.

Jesus has called us to follow Him on a solitary path, making time alone with Him as our highest priority and deepest joy. It is a pathway largely unappreciated and often despised. Let us choose the better as this will never be taken away from us. As we walk close to Jesus, He can bless others through us.
