Listen To God's Wisdom​

Recently, my good friend Patrick gave me Paul David Tripp’s daily gospel devotional, “New Morning Mercies.” I have eagerly added this to my morning devotions. In verse 3, the Apostle Paul adds, “Make every effort to preserve the unity which has the Spirit as its origin and peace as its binding force.

My wife and I reflected on this devotion and pledged to use this wisdom as a guide to strengthen our relationship. Pride destroys relationships and humility is the “Godly” way. Gentleness draws each other closer. Patience puts the other person before your self-interests. Forbearance, that is, willing to suffer for one another as we are less than perfect beings. Love means unity is more important than being right and a commitment to make peace.
