Love One Another Deeply from the Heart

Read 1 Peter 1:13-25

What is the proper response to the redemption we have received and the ongoing sanctification we are receiving through Jesus Christ? It is to live as a new creation, a new birth that comes from God’s living Word and not the flesh. It says in 1 Peter 1:23, for we have been reborn from above, we have been spiritually transformed, renewed, and set apart for His purpose, not of seed which is perishable but imperishable and immortal, and that is through the living and everlasting word of God.

Every day is a battle to face. God will never be surprised if one day we missed the mark again. That is why His mercies are new every morning. He is always willing to forgive us if we will seek Him, ask for forgiveness, and repent. These are unchanging truths about God that creates peace in us. Each day is an opportunity to live in a way that we are giving our best to live according to His Word. We are to trust God in every area of our life, to obey God at all times, to keep His commandments not out of fear but out of love, to always choose to forgive the unforgivable, to love one another deeply, to always choose God.

Difficult? Yes. That is why His grace is abundant.
