No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. - 1 Romans 8:37
Read Romans 8:34-39
All of us have issues. It might be pride, wrong habits, fears, trust, self-dependency, victim-mentality, etc. Most of us may not be aware that we are living with issues for a long time, which holds us back from fulfilling God’s purpose in our life. May be for some of us, it calloused our hearts already that we barely recognize these issues are right in front of us, influencing our mindset and indeed our relationships with the surrounding people.
God deals with our issues and helps us become overcomers. The enemy will keep on deceiving us of our identities and even our progress on our spiritual journey. Stand firm because we are all in progress and God is not yet done on us. Our scripture today reminds us we are more than conquerors through Jesus Christ (v. 37). Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us (v. 34).
Victory is possible! Whenever we feel hopeless about our situation or about our spiritual growth, let us remind ourselves of these questions:
“If God is for us, who can be against us (v. 31)?”
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword (v. 35)?”
You are more than a conqueror.
