Read Ephesians 2:1-10
God is ultimately involved in the world’s everyday matters, whether or not we acknowledge it. God cares and intervenes in history. Paul says, “He is before all things, and in him all things hold together” (Colossians 1:17). He also puts it, “In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will” (Ephesians 1:11).
No matter what we do or not do, God will intervene in His time. We might not see it, we might not understand it, but God is in ultimate control. He is a “hands-on” Father. He never stops working even when we don’t see it or feel it. That’s why we can trust God. There is nothing removed from the sense of His sustaining work. Despite the appearance, the chaotic situation, the pain, and the tragedy, let us always remember that God can take evil and make it something that works for his good will. God is a great way maker!
