Not Ashamed of the Gospel
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.
Read Romans 1:14-17
It took me some time to learn not to be offended whenever a someone, a friend, or even a relative, reject my invitation to join me on a Sunday church or to share my faith to them. It is in our nature to feel bad when people say no. It hurts our ego when we are rejected. That is why sometimes, as believers, we are afraid to share God to the people.
God called us to fish for people and not to catch them. And the same bait will not work on the fishes. Fishers know the fish they will catch and they have the right equipment for it. The same with us, the fishers of men, we should be spiritually equipped by putting on the armor of God at all times (Ephesians 6:10-18). We should not let our faith be compromised. We must also know the fish we are trying to catch. That is why building a relationship is important. We must always seek the Holy Spirit to guide us and to open doors of opportunity when we can share God’s love to them.
We should not be ashamed of the Gospel because it is a win-win situation. If they accept Jesus, it’s a win for them. If they do not accept Jesus, it is still a win for your soul in heaven because you are obeying God.
Let’s share the blessing of the Gospel to the broken world!
