Obedience in Everything​

Read Genesis 6:9-22

The word that grabs my attention on our scripture today is “everything.” Noah did everything. If God is keeping a daily record of what we’ve been doing, for sure it will have a list of all the things we did not obey. We are not perfect in doing “everything” that the scriptures tell us.

God told Noah to build an ark to save his family from the great flood which He will send to destroy all life on earth. Even though there has been no rain during this time, Noah obeyed and started building the ark. The people ridiculed Noah and none, except his family, believed in him. Despite all the ridicule and adversity he experienced, Noah steadfastly continued to respect and reverence God by obeying him up to the smallest detail.
