Praise Game

Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion. — Psalm 103:2–4, NIV
Just recently, my daughter and I began playing a praise game. Whenever we hear each other grumbling or being ungrateful about something, we ask what we are thankful for regarding the thing we are complaining about. Replacing complaints with praises and thanksgiving reminds us that there are many things for which we should be grateful.
“Let everything that has breath thank the Lord,” says Psalm 150:6. “All glory to God!” What are the most recent words that have come out of your mouth? Are they curses and moaning, or are they prayers and praises to the Lord? Create a thanksgiving list as a habit to help you remember Jesus. Always express gratitude to Him for what He has given you.
Be grateful every day and praise the Lord, for He is good.
