Pruning Season

“And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness. Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.”

2 Corinthians 12:9

Who among you loves experiencing seasons of trials and hardships? It is true that life challenges shape us and make us stronger, however, most of us would still prefer a different way of being molded by God.

God allows us to go through a pruning season because He wants to cut away our dead or overgrown branches. Pruning will help us increase our fruitfulness and growth by cutting away from us areas of our lives that hinder our spiritual growth and our relationship with God. It is also a season when we will learn to let God and trust God.

Whenever we go through tough times, let us not magnify the pain and the hardships. Rather, let us recognize them as opportunities to deepen our faith in God and to see God amidst our situation.

Trusting God reveals our true faith.
