Read Deuteronomy 12:7
The book of Deuteronomy is Moses’ last address to second-generation Israel. Moses wrote this to challenge and encourage the new generation to a total devotion to the Lord in a renewed covenant relationship. Deuteronomy 12 deals with proper worship, which is to worship God in spirit and truth. It is based on the first commandment which is to have no other god but the Lord.
To worship God should be a normal response for us, the children of God. Understanding the love God has for us and His good desires for us make us rejoice and praise God. Yes, challenges and life’s difficulties will always be present, but having the right attitude when facing such hardships is a choice to make. Before God, we can always be grateful, to forgive, to release, and to rejoice.
Let us rejoice before the Lord our God for He is worthy to be praised!
Lord, help us to choose to worship you joyfully.
