Response to Every Circumstance

Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. -James 5:14
The book of James started with the testing of faith and ends with the prayer of faith. James closes his letter by giving encouragement to those who believe in God to reflect their faith through their actions. In suffering, pray (v. 14). In sickness, pray (v. 15). Hence, a genuine believer’s response is to pray in every circumstance. This means to pray for ourselves and petitions, to praise God and bring back all the glory to Him, and humbly ask spiritual leaders or even friends to be our prayer warriors when we are sick or spiritually weak.
Prayer works, and prayer heals because God hears us and responds. If we trust in God that He always hears us, He cares for us, and He will always fight the battle with us, it should reflect on our behavior.
Give me a humble heart, Lord, and increase my faith in You.
