Staring into the Abyss

Woe is me to not teach the truth of the Gospel. 1 Corinthians 9:16
I recently watched a powerful video from Fr. Edward Meeks delivered on October 11, 2020 from Christ the King parish in Towson, MD. This message should be preached from every pulpit and home in America prior to our presidential election. Fr. Meeks shares his opinion formed and informed by the word of God and the crystal-clear teaching of the Catholic Church. His first allegiance is to the truth of God and his church.
We live in a nation that is at odds with itself. “A house divided against itself cannot stand (Mark 3:25). I grieve for what has become of America. We are all children and servants of the same God. It is time for faithful Catholics and other Christians to stand up courageously and confront the evil that has overtaken our culture and say, “enough is enough.”
We must stand with and cast our vote that reflect our moral and civic responsibilities based on our Catholic/Christian faith. We must not get sidetracked that immigration and climate change are of equal weight with abortion. Our non-negotiable values are the sanctity of life from conception to natural death, the sanctity of marriage between man and woman, and the preservation of religious liberty.
