Start with God

Read Proverbs 1:1-7
Do you have accountability partners? Or friends whom you ask for guidance whenever you feel confused of the decision to make? The proverbs of Solomon describe to us what wisdom is and help us become wise. Not all, like those who believe they are already wise in their own eyes, are open to hearing and get guidance from other people, specially God.
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction (v. 7). The first step in gaining wisdom and learning is to start with God, acknowledging that His wisdom and understanding is way better that ours. Proverbs 11 says, “When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with the humble is wisdom.” Bowing down to God in humility shuts the pride in us to seek help from Him and even from other people. There’s no need to feel embarrassed about asking for help, advice, and even prayer.
What can we pray for you today?
A wise man will listen and learn.
