Stewardship: Gratitude and Responsibility

Recently Fr. Tony discussed how Jesus modeled stewardship by gratitude and responsibility. A definition of stewardship is the belief that humans are responsible for the world; created by God, and rightly should take care of it. Let’s take this one step further as “utilizing and managing all resources God provides for the glory of God and betterment of His creation.”

Jesus, the perfect steward, gave up all and died to make us whole. Jesus did not consider equality with God, took the very nature of a servant and humbled himself so that we may find favor with God. Each of us is created by God, for God, to return to God. Just like Jesus. It is wonderful to know we are in great company!
