Talk to Jesus...

Often we read that Jesus would go off by himself and pray. He needed that one on one time to be in the arms of his Father. Even Jesus needed time to rest and recharge. He offers us the same opportunity each and every day. The medicine of God is free and life giving. Best of all it works and the side effect profile is peace in his presence. This reminds me of the time when a young person asked me what the best medicine was and my response with a smile was “Love.” The young person then quizzically responded, “What if that doesn’t work?” My response was “increase the dose, you cannot overdose on Love.”

Jesus is telling Peter to come walk on the water in this Gospel verse. Yes, with God all things are possible. By nurturing the divine exchange we find pure peace in the presence of Jesus Christ. There is no safer place.
