Teach Me To Do Your Will
January 11, 2022 Daily Devotion
By Khai Samante
Teach me to do your will,
for you are my God;
may your good Spirit
lead me on level ground.
We have a lot of plans as the new year starts. But have we tried to pause and ask God about His plans? Let’s not forget to ask God to teach us to do his will. God will not change his mind based on our prayers or plans. Instead, with humility, we should allow God to teach us to do his will, spiritually, thoughtfully, immediately, and cheerfully.
How will we know God’s will? By soaking ourselves in his Word and asking God to fill us up with his Holy Spirit every moment. It is difficult to hear from God and know his will if we are far from him. There is a lot of noise and distractions around us. If we will not focus our eyes and ears on what the Word of God says, we will find it difficult to hear from God, hence to know his will. Trusting God and his will requires humility and desire to grow in our faith. God wants us to keep on moving up, seeking more of him, and exercising our spiritual muscles so that we will be ready whenever we climb life’s mountains with him.
Allow God to lead you on your spiritual journey.
