"And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” - Philippians 4:7
It gives me great peace to know that God is in control of our chaotic world. Turn off the “noise” and nurture the divine exchange and find peace in His presence. God will bring good out of the current world situation amidst all the evil and suffering. This is where it is comforting to remind ourselves to surrender all our circumstances to Him, “so that we may experience the peace of God that surpasses all understanding” (Philippians 4:7).
Jesus provides us the greatest example of surrender to God’s will. He became “obedient to death, even death on a cross” (Philippians 2:7). Yet, Jesus struggled as he prayed on the night before he died, “Father, if you are willing, take this cup away from me; still, not my will but yours be done.” (Luke 22:42). Even Jesus, our God, found it difficult as a human being to surrender to God’s will. Indeed, we are in great company!
We await the Lord of Lords!
