Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in obedience to him. — Psalm 128:1
Read Psalm 128
This psalm is one of the 15 hymns performed by pilgrims on their route to Jerusalem for the annual feasts of Passover, Pentecost, or Tabernacles. The song is called The Song of Ascent. It speaks about the blessings that come to those who fear the Lord.
All who will honor and respect God will receive God’s blessing. Culture, nationality, social position, education, or even IQ have no bearing on it. Fearing the Lord does not imply that you have such feelings toward Him. It’s all about living a life of obedience.
God, our Father, longs to shower us with blessings. He delights in blessing us. “He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous,” Matthew 5:45 states. Those who live according to God’s ways will get not only gifts and fruitfulness but also eternal life. The greatest blessing we may ever receive from the Lord is to be with Him forever.
I am blessed beyond measure!
