So he returned home to his father. And while he was still a long way off, his father saw him coming. Filled with love and compassion, he ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him." Luke 15:20 NLT
Read Luke 15:11-32
We make a lot of choices every day, and not all the choices we make are the best ones. In Luke 15:11-32, Jesus taught the parable of the prodigal son who made many wrong decisions in life. Later on, the son accepted the responsibility for the consequences of his choices. When he came to his senses, he went back to his father and say to him: ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants.’
We know how the parable ended. The father, filled with love and compassion, ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him. The Father accepted him back and even celebrated because his child was dead and is alive again; was lost and is found (v. 24).
Did you make any wrong decisions? We all did, for sure. Some of us might have wandered off from the path God has prepared for us, some even ran away from Him. Don’t lose hope. God loves you the same. His love is beyond what you can comprehend. May you be inspired to make the right decision to come to your Heavenly Father. He is always waiting for you with an open arms.
I am lost and now am found.
