The Face of the Holy Spirit

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. - John 14:26
Many of us have a picture of what God and Jesus look like in our mind. How about the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit is the invisible God and because human beings are embodied spiritual souls and dependent upon sensory perception, we need something more. So, God gives us clouds, rushing wind, fire, streams of living water, and a beautiful white dove.
The Holy Spirit: the third person in the triune God is a person just like God and Jesus. A person acts—and so does the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit feels, thinks, sympathizes, forgives, decides, acts, judges, and loves. The Holy Spirit is not an impersonal force or power; The Holy Spirit is a Person—the most perfect Person imaginable.
The Holy Spirit has life (Romans 8:2), has a will (1 Corinthians 12:11), is omniscient (1 Corinthians 2:10-11), is eternal (Hebrews 9:14), and is omnipresent (Psalm 139:7). Spirit and Breath are the same words in Greek and Hebrew. The Spirit is Love (God) which connects all that is good. In my mind I am still forming my “picture” of the Holy Spirit and He will be beautiful.
The Holy Spirit is Love!
