God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. Sometimes we feel weak, but that is not who we are. The Spirit God gave us is coequal with Him—the God the Father and the God the Son.
In the past week, the number of cases of the COVID-19 patients here in the Philippines continued to escalate. As of today, 8,8773 fresh cases were on the list. Almost all hospitals are reaching its maximum capacity. With this, there are rumors of another lockdown within the metro. The news is indeed causing fear to many.
Declaring 2 Timothy 1:7 is not just about positive thinking. It is about restoring our identity that as sons and daughters of God, the Spirit who is all-powerful, all-knowing, sovereign, holy, transcendent, loving, and merciful is with us. The Holy Spirit empowers us to proclaim Jesus and be the salt and light despite the darkness that envelops us.
We can always find peace in chaos.
