The Inner Voice of the Holy Spirit

Recently, I was with a friend and became irritated with his behavior. Instead of listening intently, being slow to speak, and even slower to anger, I expressed myself in a manner that was not kind and compassionate. The Holy Spirit instantaneously let me know this. An hour later, through the prompting of the Holy Spirit, I called this friend and apologized.

The inner voice of the Holy Spirit is so powerful and convicting as well as convincing us to take responsibility for our health and choices. The Holy Spirit was reminding me to lead with Love- to inhale love, exhale gratitude and focus on Jesus. This centering breathing exercise allows the Holy Spirit to take control of our thoughts, words, and actions. A gentle reminder from our good and gracious God, to talk to Jesus our guiding light. Talk to God, Jesus did!
